Holy Trinity is blessed to have a core of men who are true followers of Christ. Groups of these men at Holy Trinity have become bands of brothers to each other — united in purpose, mutually supportive and accomplishing great things. Men like this exemplify Proverbs 27:17: As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. We are blessed that Holy Trinity has so many men like this.
One such band of brothers is the Men’s Devotional Group. These men gather on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the Youth Room.
These men read the Bible together, pray together, worship together, and challenge each other as Christian men to use their talents for God’s kingdom. It was men like this Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton wanted when he posted this advertisement in 1913: Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages. Bitter cold. Long months of complete darkness. Constant danger. Safe return doubtful. Honor and recognition in case of success. It was men like this Jesus called as He promised those who followed HIm only suffering, trial, and pain. It is men like this the Men’s Group at Holy Trinity is seeking.
The Men’s Devotional Group organizes outreach events through the year such as the 5K Run for Water Mission. Volunteering time and talents are a hallmark.
