Wondering what Holy Trinity is like on weekends?
We’ve assembled answers to the most common questions. Read up to learn more about Holy Trinity, and then come be a part of our worship services!
Belief and Practice – With the whole Christian Church on earth, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all people and to rise to life again in victory over sin, death, and the power of Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God.
Being “Lutheran” – We accept and preach the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teachings of Luther can be summarized in three phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
Who is Jesus? – For more than 2,000 years people have asked this question. We were not present when Jesus lived on this earth, but in the Bible we have the record of His birth, life, death on the cross, and resurrection. Through the study of the Bible, you can seek the answer to this age-old question.
How do we worship at Holy Trinity?
We believe true, heart-felt, liturgical worship should lead to an encounter with God. Worship is not a consumer event, but something for everybody in the community to participate in.
How often do we have Communion?
We offer communion every week.
Who is welcome to participate?
All who are baptized Christians who believe Jesus is really present in the bread and wine are welcome to participate – regardless of whether you are a member or regular attender of Holy Trinity. Children who have not yet received communion instruction may come forward for a blessing.
How should I dress?
Holy Trinity has always been a “come as you are” church. Jeans or ties are equally welcome.
What’s available for my kids?
We love kids here at Holy Trinity. We have an abundance of Children’s programs running throughout the year designed just for them. Kids in Children’s Ministry programs learn about God’s love for them every week in a vibrant way.
What if my kids get noisy during the service?
Children are always welcome in the Sanctuary. Should children become restless or noisy, we have a Nursery available. It is equipped with sound so that parents and children can continue to enjoy the worship experience.
What’s available for my teenager?
We offer several exciting opportunities for students to engage with one another and with God. Confirmation and Youth Bible Study meet every Sunday morning. Teens sing and ring in the choirs and participate fully in the total life of the congregation.
What if I’d like to pray with someone?
There’s ministry time offered during each of the weekend services with one of the pastors or with a member of our prayer team. They are also available to pray with you before and after every service in the Chapel. Look for anyone wearing a Prayer Ministry badge.
Tithes & Offerings
Offerings are given as an act of worship by attendees who consider Holy Trinity their home. For visitors, we want you to be blessed by the worship and to give as God inspires you.
