Worship at Holy Trinity
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under
the earth and on the sea and all that is in them, singing: To Him
Who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory
and power forever and ever. (Revelation 5:13)
Worship of the Triune One is the heart and center of all that we do
and all that we are here at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. As our
Father in Heaven, He is our creator. As Jesus Christ, the Son of
God, He walked among us, was crucified and rose to redeem the world.
As Holy Spirit, He dwells within and among us, leading us to serve
others and to grow in faith and love. For all that He is and has
done and promises, we gather to offer God our adoration and praise.
The Sunday morning services follow the ancient way of the classic
Western Liturgy, as do Evening Prayer and Compline which are offered
in the Chapel on Tuesday evenings from September through May.
Saturday Night Praise Liturgy
5:00 PM
The Saturday Praise Liturgy is vividly contemporary and marked by
a sparkling simplicity of structure.
At all of Holy Trinity’s worship services, the Bible’s story of
God’s love and the specially-chosen music invite us to draw closer
to the God whose great Father-heart is always reaching out to us,
longing to draw us ever closer to Himself and to fill our lives with
His love.
This evening includes wonderful modern songs that roll off the
tongue. A trio of singers, led by the Holy Spirit, guides the
congregation through the contemporary prayers to God.
Additionally, there's a simplicity to the liturgy that allows for
hymnal free time of worship. You'll never lose your spot or find
yourself searching from one book to another looking for your place.
As with the worship services on Sunday, the Praise Liturgy offers
all in attendance the opportunity to share in the most treasured
gift of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. The closeness
to God that Holy Communion provides is available every week at Holy
Trinity.
Holy Trinity's Praise Liturgy is a great way to introduce friends,
family or co-workers to the Christian faith. The service provides
the core of the Lutheran liturgy, in a lively pace that may be more
appealing to today's young families.
Invite a friend and come on out Saturday nights at 5:00pm.
Sunday
8:00am & 11:00am
The Sunday after Labor Day through June: 8:00 am
& 11:00 am
July through Labor Day: 8:00 am & 10:00 am
Our Sunday morning services of weekly Holy Communion follow the
ancient way of worship called the Classic Western Liturgy. While
some people argue that this ancient way of worship is a routine of
the same old words over and over, we disagree. The traditional
liturgy is a conversation between lovers who keep saying I love you.
During liturgical worship, we hear God’s I love you to us, and we
respond with our I love you to Him. These may be the same old words
over and over, but hearing them and saying them ... again and again
... is life itself.
This traditional pattern of worship ties us to Christians around the
world and reminds us that we are but one part of the Church on
earth, worshiping God together with the saints, the angels, and all
the hosts of Heaven. Liturgy means work of the people, and involves
the whole congregation is active worship. There is a profound rhythm
to the classic Western liturgy, a rhythm of detail and richness that
rewards our close attention. If you are unfamiliar with liturgical
worship, Holy Trinity members are eager to help visitors find their
way through the service, but hesitate to push themselves on
visitors. If you feel lost, just turn to the nearest person and
whisper, I’m lost! Can you help me? And you will be cheerfully
helped.
For variety, our Sunday morning services rotate seasonally through
the settings of the Lutheran Book of Worship and the supplement With
One Voice. Hymns and other music are chosen very carefully to
reflect the messages found in the Scripture lessons for each week so
that every service in well-integrated.
Just as enthusiastic hymn-singing is part of the Lutheran heritage,
so is cultivation of choral groups and choral music. Music for the
8:00 services is provided by our older children’s Seraphim Choir,
Youth Cantors and Musicians, and women’s Chorale. These groups all
faithfully minister one Sunday each month. Our Chancel Choir sings
every week at the 11:00 service. Holy Trinity’s Handbell Choir
performs at selected 8:00 and 11:00 services each month.
You can find more about our choirs by clicking on Music. Check the
weekly calendar for other worship services, including occasional
Choral Vespers and weekly Compline.

of our Lord Jesus Christ, at his command, anointed many that
were sick and healed them, send now your Holy Spirit, that (Name
