WELCA Events at Holy Trinity
Monthly Circle Gatherings with Topical Study
Circles are an important way for women to grow friendships in
their church life and discuss the challenges and share the joys of
Christian living. All churchwomen are encouraged to attend one of
Holy Trinity’s six monthly circle gatherings where women meet for
fellowship and a topical, Bible-based study. The women are currently
exploring “What Happens When Women Pray.”

Blanket Sunday

Blankets Will Be Collected Throughout September
Have you ever considered how many uses you would find for a blanket
if you were homeless? The victim of a natural disaster? You could
wrap yourself in it to protect your body from the weather. You could
drape it over branches to create a tent-home. As a refugee, you
could place what few belongings you owned in it and carry your
worldly possessions slug over your back as you traveled from place
to place.
During September, the women of Holy Trinity will be collecting
blankets for our brothers and sisters in need.
- Bring new or clean, good condition used blankets to church.
They will be distributed locally.
- Make a monetary donation to purchase and ship blankets to
Lutheran World Relief who will distribute them throughout the
world, according to need. Approximately $7.50 buys and ships one
blanket. You may place cash or checks in the brown pew envelopes
and mark them “Blankets.” Make checks out to Holy Trinity and mark
“Blankets” in the memo section.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Reminder
Sunday, November 4
Can you imagine Christmas looking like a shoebox? Oh it would be
a pretty shoebox wrapped in bright paper or decorated with stickers.
And, it would be brimming with much needed school supplies, hygiene
items, and assorted toys and gifts. That box of goodies would be the
sum total of your Christmas experience, and you would be thrilled!
We're collecting shoe boxes on November 4th at church.
Please download What To Put in a Shoebox" for the information needed
to get started.
