Interfaith Housing Alliance at Holy Trinity
Introduction
When someone visits HTLC Online for the first time one of the
areas they are most like to click through to is the “About Us” link
on our homepage. The following is stated in that introduction to
Holy Trinity…
“Our ministry as a congregation is a servant ministry, which
reaches out with the Gospel into the community, and brings aid
and comfort to the sick, shut in, dying, poor, and others in
need. We call the wider community to do justice without
forgetting that we ourselves are to be a community that is to
set a moral example, bearing fruit that comes from faith in
Jesus Christ.”
Holy Trinity recognizes the need of those near and far. Holy
Trinity supports the mission work of Dennis & Meredith Murnyak in
Tanzania thorough the direct financial support of the Heifer
Project. A little closer to home our church supports “Feast
Incarnate”, a center city Philadelphia AIDS Dinner Program that is
hosted by University Lutheran Church of the Incarnation.
Holy Trinity has now committed to becoming a partner church in the
Inter-faith Housing Alliance.
“Inter-Faith's mission is to serve God by providing charitable
services to persons located in Montgomery County whose life
situations have become unstable. These charitable services shall
include homelessness prevention, temporary shelter, guidance in life
skills, and assistance in locating appropriate housing opportunities
thus enabling families at risk to remain in or return to independent
living.”
Holy Trinity will be a host church in February, 2004. We would like
you to read through the pages in this site for information on this
worth while program. Prayerfully consider how you can contribute to
making this cause a success here at Holy Trinity.
