Providing referral information and access to other services and

Offering personal counseling
Assisting in securing training and employment
Enrolling children in appropriate schools
Arranging for any needed medical care
Housing
- Assisting families in finding homes, in either the public or
private sector, often using volunteer resources and suggestions
- Providing furnishings for guests' homes including furniture,
appliances, linens and household accessories
- Distributing donated supplies; including food, paper, and
personal items, to help IHN families set up housekeeping
- Life skills training
Hope Gardens - Hope Gardens is a transitional housing
facility used by IFHA which provides families the time necessary
for transition from the crisis of homelessness to a stable life.
Hope Gardens families, all successful graduates of our
Hospitality Network. In exchange for sliding scale rent based on
the family’s income, tenants help maintain the building and
grounds and may live there for up to 24 months.
Graduate Housing - Graduate Housing is a partnership with
Willow Grove Community Development Corporation. to supply
affordable rental units. Graduates of Hope Gardens who need more
than two years to establish their economic base, or whose family
size prohibits their move to subsidized housing, may rent these
homes where eventual homeownership is the goal. Parenting
IFHA coordinates the following services through “Family
Advocates and Budget Counselors”
- Financial management
- Nutrition
- Homemaking and safety
- Hygiene and basic health care
- Hobbies and leisure interests
- Introduction to computer use
