Education at Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is committed to a Christian education program for all ages that fosters the strengthening of faith in Christ and deepens  knowledge of Christian doctrine and ethics.  Instruction is founded on the solid rock of Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.  The assumption of the program is that the Bible is truly the inspired Word of God that is not to be pre-empted by modern philosophies or trends.  The Confessions, collected in the Book of Concord of 1580, faithfully reflect the Church's public interpretation of the Holy Scriptures. In accordance with their ordination vows, the pastors regard faithful teaching to be at the core of their pastoral leadership.  This commitment of pastors and people is to be reflected in the Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible studies, theological studies, and Confirmation program of the congregation.  We pray that Christ, the Word made flesh, would keep us faithful.  We praise the Holy and Blessed Trinity, One God in Three Persons, who has created, redeemed, and sanctified us.  May our faith in Him be strengthened and our understanding increased.

Sunday School Curriculum: Our Life in Christ

9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Pre K – 5th grade

Our Life in Christ lessons emphasize the Gospel—the Good News about Christ—at each and every grade level! Our Life in Christ is anchored on the Bible, God's Word.

No two Sunday school classrooms are alike. They vary in the number of students, the communities from which they come, the classrooms in which they learn, the things they already know, the skills they possess. Yet all students need the same thing—they need to hear, clearly and consistently, the Good News that God loves them and has redeemed them from sin and death through His Son, Jesus! They need help and guidance in applying God's Word to their lives as Jesus’ disciples.

  • Lessons that are Christ centered, Bible based, and life directed
  • Chronological Bible stories with church year connections
  • Single and succinct key point in each lesson
  • Easy-to-understand application
  • Practical teaching helps
  • Connections to the catechism
  • Suggestions for various settings
  • Age-appropriate activities
  • Suggestions for teaching students with special needs

Our Life in Christ materials are engaging, creative, and packed with options to help teachers find the perfect fit for their Sunday school classroom. But most importantly, you can be confident that your students are benefiting from the solid, biblical and Lutheran-specific content that sets Concordia Publishing House apart from others!
