Groups How often have you promised yourself that this would be the year that you would read the whole Bible straight through ... only to bog down somewhere around Leviticus? Let this year be the year! All you need is a support group!! Here's the plan;
A group of us will agree to read through the Bible together this year. We will be a 'Through the Bible in a Year" Group. Before our meeting each Tuesday, we will read through a section of the Bible. For our weekly meeting, we will gather on a Tuesday, either at 11:00 am or at 7:30 pm. Both meetings will be in Fellowship Hall here at the church. The evening meeting will be embedded in the regular Tuesday Night line up here at Church.
During each weekly meeting, we will discuss what we read for the week. This will be the time for sharing insights and discoveries. If you have any questions about what you read, bring them with you.
The point of this exercise will be to grow in our understanding of and love for God. For some of us, this might be the first time to look at the whole story of salvation beginning with Creation and ending in Heaven. For others of us, this might by one last look at the "old, old story” we have loved so long. For all of us, this will be a time to make new friends and to become better friends with God.

Our first meeting will the week after Ash Wednesday, on Tuesday March 15 at either 11:00 am or 7:30 pm.
You do not have to do any homework for this first meeting. Just bring yourself and a Bible.
If you have never read through the Bible before, you should get your hands on a Contemporary English Version / Today's English Version. This is both a good translation and extremely easy to read. If you can't find one, tell Pastor Mandy and she will get one for you (they cost less than $10.00).
